Hug Me Bears

Since 1989, Altrusa has joined forces with the Hug Me Bear Program to purchase, package and distribute Teddy Bears to children and adults in high-stress situations. Bears are distributed by peace officers, firefighters, EMS workers and hospital staff.

Make a Difference Day

Each year in October, our club celebrates "Make A Difference Day" by focusing on a literacy project needed in our area. In 2006, over 100 Children's Books were donated and purchased by Altrusa as well as a bookcase, which was purchased and assembled by club members.
