This event is really part social and part fundraiser. Each December, Altrusa members, volunteers, their families and community at large is invited to celebrate the holidays. Funds are raised by auctioning off donated books. In 2006, $1,459.00 was raised to pay for members to go to the District Eleven Conference where clubs share their experiences with promoting literacy.
