Altrusa of the Eastern Sierra has had the honor of being awarded the 2004-05 Letha H. Brown Literacy Award at the Altrusa International, District Eleven Convention. Altrusa ES won first place for their literacy project “Get Hooked Donate Books”. The goal of the book drive was to fill the empty shelves at our local Cerro Coso Eastern Sierra Community College. Over 15,000 books were donated.
